Tru Niagen Review

We all wish the time to slow down, yet aging is an inevitable series of natural processes that we all will face sooner or later. As we are getting old, the body experiences some changes, good and bad. When the first signs and symptoms of aging such as wrinkles and weakness occur, many people start searching for ways to postpone the aging processes.

The anti-aging market, in turn, offers a great number of procedures and products, including hormone replacement therapies, surgical procedures, and supplements.

The product that has taken my attention is Tru Niagen. I have heard a lot about the benefits of NAD+ from Chris Masterjohn and Dr. Rhonda Patrick and have been keen to try this for a while, this is why I have been experimenting with Tru Niagen for the last couple of months. I expect to see more results the longer I take this, and this is my own personal experiment and just one of a number of things that I do to optimize my health.

This supplement doesn’t promise you eternal youth or longer life. The aim of Tru Niagen is not to simply help you extend your life but to help you age better. Check out my Tru Niagen review to find out how Tru Niagen works, its pros and cons, and whether this dietary supplement is right for you.

The Science Behind NAD Anti-Aging Effects

What is the Importance of NAD?

Your overall health depends on your cellular health a lot. NAD is a critical coenzyme that helps create cellular energy, support cellular repair throughout your body, and fortify cellular antioxidant defense system.

It also plays a vital role in many fundamental physiological processes:

  • The clinical studies show that it helps support a healthy mitochondrial function, metabolism and processes such as oxidative phosphorylation, which is converting the food we eat into energy that our cells can use.
  • It may improve your sleep by helping you reset your internal clock, regulate your circadian rhythms and sleep-wake cycles.

As we age, the NAD levels decline, which increases the risk of heart disease, elevated blood pressure, diabetes, and degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Therapeutic Potential of Boosting NAD

NAD+

By increasing NAD levels, you may offset many of the effects of aging and age gracefully. These are potential health benefits of NAD-boosters:

  • It boosts immune system and regulates inflammation
  • It helps support brain function, slow down sensory impairment and cognitive decline
  • It promotes gluconeogenesis in the liver and lipogenesis in adipose tissue
  •  It helps improve insulin sensitivity
  • It reduce the chance of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
  • It has protective effects against acute kidney injury
