What’s Included In Your Pathology Test
This is a brief overview of the different markers that are tested for and all tests include a 30-45 minute consultation to explain the results and help you with a treatment plan.
Cardiovascular Health – Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL, LDL, homocysteine, HsCRP, fibrinogen, apolipoprotein A + B, lipoprotein (a). This will help to identify the clotting factors, inflammation and if you have the small dense LDL particles that a regular cholesterol test cannot assess
Extensive Hormone Test – Testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, LH, FSH, SHBG, DHEAs – so that we can assess if you are in the optimal range and not just the reference range
Extensive Thyroid Test – Including TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Reverse T3 and the thyroid antibodies. Standard thyroid testing only includes TSH levels and can miss early signs of thyroid dysfunction.
Diabetes and Insulin Resistance – Includes glucose and Fasting Insulin levels so that we can assess if you are in the optimal range which will help with metabolism and prevention of diabetes.
Nutrition – Including iron studies, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Folate, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc, Selenium, essential fatty acids, amino acids and organic acid markers. These markers are important to be in the optimal range and we don’t want them too high or too low.
Full Blood Count – Including Kidney function, Liver function, Red blood cell count, white blood cell count, ESR and platelets. These are the standard markers on most blood tests but they are important to assess.
Plus The SelfDecode Genetic Test
SelfDecode Genetic Test Includes:
SelfDecode Gene Test – this is a saliva test kit which will be delivered to you and include return shipping back to the lab. Once the lab receives your sample we will have the results in 6-8 weeks
Genetic reports on many different health conditions – including cardiovascular health, vitamin and mineral absorption, fitness, mood and longevity.
I recommend the lifetime subscription as the reports are updated as new research is released and many more reports will be added – plus lifetime access gives you the lab test analyzer program so you can keep track of your test results along with detailed explanations of what the results mean.
*Pathology testing only available in N.S.W and the blood draw is at Laverty’s Pathology
